CIVIC DISCUSSION SERIES

ICW exists to amplify the voice & agency of our students. Launched in 2019, the Civic Discussion Series provides a platform for students to exhibit their knowledge & leadership in the social issues they've lived.

Through our in-house career track in personal training, ICW Trainers have a platform for expertise in fitness training. But as relationships develop between a trainer and client, the expertise goes far beyond fitness. Walking through the ICW gym, one might hear conversations about the criminal justice system, or the long-standing inequities exposed by the country's system of incarceration. The Civic Discussion Series brings these conversations to a wider audience.

Past Civic Discussions:

[X/YZ]

A discussion about criminal justice reform and the exposed inequities of COVID-19 on racism with Jessica Jackson, Chief Advocacy Officer of REFORM Alliance. Moderated by Feliciano Tavares and sponsored by PUMA.

A panel discussion on Netflix Documentary "13th" with moderation and keynote by Khalil Muhammad, Professor at the Harvard Kennedy School. Hosted by PUMA.
